Bonza View bed and breakfast is located 40 min drive East of Melbourne CBD near the summit of Mount Dandenong. Spectacular 180 degree views from both apartments. Best views in the Dandenongs. From the You Yangs to Port Philip Bay to Melbourne City to Mount Macedon to the Warburton Ranges to Lilydale Lake. The night lights are amazing. You can watch changing weather patterns and romantic sunsets from the comfort of your apartment or from the luxury of your bubbling hot tub on your private large undercover deck.

Bonza View is situated next to the forest of the Dandenong Ranges amidst tall native trees. Enjoy a relaxing stroll along walking tracks leading from the property while enjoying the beauty of the surrounds. Or for the more enthusiastic walker try one of the more challenging treks along steep trails near creek beds with abundant fernery. Most walks start from Picnic Grounds. Some popular walks include the 1000 steps and Living Bush Nature Trail from the Fern Tree Gully Picnic Ground, Sherbrooke Falls from the Sherbrooke Picnic Ground and Grants Picnic Ground at Kallista.

The Dandenong Ranges are a mountain area to the east of Melbourne characterized by small towns and villages. The area is know for its fertile volcanic soil and lush vegetation. The area was first settled by Europeans in the mid 1800s and initially logged heavily. The natural beauty of the area attracted the attention of the new moneyed elite of Melbourne in the following century and many fine estates were constructed with beautiful formal gardens. Some of these gardens can still be viewed either through the open garden program for the still privately owned properties or by visiting the Parks managed properties.

The Dandenong Ranges are the perfect place to take a break from everyday life and enjoy the best that nature has to offer while still being surprisingly close to the Melbourne CBD.

The Dandenong Ranges is home to approximately 350 plant species, 130 bird species ,31 mammals and 21 reptiles. Birds are frequent visitors to Bonza View and a visitor can expect to Rosella's , Kookaburra's , Cockatoos and Currowongs and if lucky a Wedge Tail eagle rising on the thermals.

The Mt Dandenong Tourist Road can be accessed in the north via Canterbury Road or from the south via Burwood Highway and Ferntree Gully.
